Sister v. Sister 10 day Meditation Challenge

Sister versus Sister
(Okay, so it’s really not “Sister versus Sister”.)

My sister Kim recently moved to Los Angeles (she is also a yoga teacher). We often talk about how we can create more of a healthy schedule in our lives and how we sometimes self-sabotage. My weakness is that I watch television before I go to bed at night and I stay up too late working on my health tech startup. Her weakness is the challenge of creating a new routine in a new, unfamiliar city.

We got to talking and decided to try out Julian Walker’s 10 Day Meditation Challenge.

The clincher is —  I’m going out of town for 10 days and she is staying here in Los Angeles on her own. Can we manage the challenge when we’re on opposite ends of the country? Will we give up?

The next 10 days I plan to break my poor sleeping habit (or at least the watching TV part). I always meditate in the mornings but I’ll also be doing my own yoga practice and following Julian’s guided meditation in the evening.

And, we’ll be writing about our progress here and on Kim’s blog: Pure Shakti – pureshakti.com.
