Alchemy & Authenticity

I would like to invite you on a journey. A journey that explores your own authenticity.  A journey that explores the potential for alchemy in your life. Our theme here at Share Yoga for the month of May is Authenticity, which correlates perfectly with our new Share Yoga book club book, “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.

Coelho once said, “Alchemy is all about pursuing our spiritual quest in the physical world as it was given to us.  It is the art of transmuting the reality into something sacred, of mixing the sacred and the profane.”

In some reading circles, this implies being able to define your own Personal Legend. Or in the yoga world your dharma. Can you define your own Personal Legend? Your dharma? Does anything prevent you from pursuing it to conclusion?

Take a deeper look within, as we explore these concepts together this month. Maybe this is the first time you have read “The Alchemist” or perhaps you will be willing to read it again with new eyes. You can join the Share Yoga Book Club Group on Facebook where we will share questions to ponder and discuss.

This month, we will explore authenticity in our yoga chats on Twitter as well. Our yoga chat schedule is:

How to Live Your Most Authentic Life #yogachat

May 8th 10:00am – 11:00am PST or

 Find Your Authentic Voice #yogachat

May 22nd 10:00am – 11:00am PST or

Does the topic of authenticity or alchemy inspire you to share your own story? Do you have a personal tip or insight that you would like to share with the Share Yoga community? We would love to hear from you! Please contact us at Become a Contributor for more information.
