Boost Your Happiness

There will always be something out there that can pull you down, but there are more things that can make you happy. Here are 10 things that can help you achieve happiness.

1. Live For Today

Always live for today and do something that you know will make you happy.

2. Find a Job that Makes you Happy

To be happy, you have to find work that you love to do. Things happen at work and there may be people who are going to give you a tough time. But if you love what you do, everything becomes easier.

3. Learn Something New

You can practice your creativity to make this happen. Try something you have not done like a new recipe to impress your partner or try sketching something. This will make things a bit more interesting for you. Learning yoga is one thing that will make you happy and strengthen your mind and body as well.

4. Stay Connected with Family and Friends

One of the most important things that you have to maintain to keep you happy your whole life is your relationships with family and friends. Spend time with them as much as you can. Go to them when you have problems. Go to them when you are happy.

5. Appreciate Yourself

You can be the greatest parent of all or maybe the best spouse you can ever be. However, people will never look at you the way you look at yourself. If you appreciate yourself and what you have achieved, you will definitely feel happy.

6. Listen to Music

Music has the ability to reduce stress by about half. However, it is also important to choose the right music for this. Try an upbeat song that you love.

7. Make Someone Else Smile

A simple smile causes the brain to start thinking about happy things. This is the start of a mood swing that switches things for the better. For this reason alone, smile more!

8. Always Look For the Positive Side of Things

Train yourself to look at the good side of even the most negative of all things. There are always at least two ways of looking at things, the positive and the negative. Try to do more of the former so that you can be happier.

9. Don’t Look Back

Always move forward and look ahead rather than focusing on the past too much. Look forward to new opportunities that may come your way.

10. Laugh Often, Even at Yourself

One of the most popular sayings of all time is ‘laughter is the best medicine’. The scientific explanation to this is that laughing promotes the release of endorphins which make you happier. You can even laugh alone when you think of funny and happy moments.

A human being is part of the whole, called by us “Universe,” a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest – a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole [of] nature in its beauty” — Albert Einstein, 1950 See https://www.shareyoga.com/meditation/spirit/are-you-practicing-the-law-of-love/ #yoga #compassion #love #alberteinstein #consciousness
